Lelia: Well, depending on how much you walk, that can be a really good exercise. :) And indeed, the chance of being electrocuted while working out has been drastically lowered. A Good Thing (TM).

Joshua: No, not the only place with a solid ceiling. There's solid woodwork throughout the house in all of the doorways. However, this is the only portal that was wide enough (around 6 feet) to hang the bag and use it fully. If I'd put the bag in a regular doorway, kicking would have been out of the question, unless I wanted to regularly break my foot by clipping the woodwork.

How are you liking the Wii Fit? I checked out the site for it a few days ago and thought it looked pretty neat.

So your punching bag is located in the one portal in the house with a really solid ceiling? Well, at least you'll have something healthy to do while hiding there from tornadoes.

I can totally understand how having it located so near and "in your face" will help you to not ignore it, though. I recently got Wii Fit and it's had a similar effect. If I go into the game room... there's the board sitting in front of the chairs. If I want to ignore that, I start up the Wii... and there's the Wii Fit Channel sitting on the main menu telling me how long it's been since I last used it.

At least you're trying to exercise. I walk to places here, but that's it. I can't imagine really working up a sweat. Glad you won't get electrocuted now. That would definitely put a damper on your exercise plans.
