I know how it is, I still don't have any and I'm OLD comparing to you :-) I never got around to it because in the beginning I couldn't afford it and certainly not afford to have a car. Then I didn't have any time - worked very very hard, overtime all the time and in the city where I couldn't have parked the car anyway. When I finally got the time and the money for it in 2001, ready to go to take the tests - I damaged my back. *sigh* Driving is no good for a painful back. I've heard that our driving test in Sweden is among the hardest in the world, much more difficult than in the U.S. I still hope I will be able to take it later on! Congrats x millions.

Better late than never ;) I've gone the other way - from a person fiercely protective of her car and her independence (I'm a country girl so it's kind of essential) to a city girl with no car who is reliant on public transport and lifts begged from people. My poor father. He thought the days of acting as my taxi were over. So yes, well done :D Well congratulations anyway. Better late than never ;)

Well, unless recent road construction work which mysteriously left cones on the road that were sometimes knocked over to off-center count. Interesting.
