As per Nil’s recommendation, I shall keep this post short, so as to avoid it becoming overly weird. So, let’s get to it:

I’m not a big movie buff. When people ask me if I’ve seen such and such movie that recently came out, probably 98% of the time, my answer is something like “What was the title?…

I just wathed Surviving Katrina and am even more appalled at how our U S gov. responded. I think that all the gov. officials who screwed up should be made to live in the devastation that is the South until it is fixed. The fact that they had time to get all those buses to safety before the storm hit and did no was a sin. They could have used them to get people out.Anyone who votes for George Bush needs their head examined.

I could be wrong, but I believe the buses were parked in an area that was (in the past) safe from flooding, so I think that may be the reason they weren’t able to get them in time. Monday night, after Katrina had hit, the levies broke, and that was that.
Having said that, I still think the federal government did a horrible job in responding to the crisis. They knew Katrina was coming; they could have been sending aid and relief forces that way before it even hit.
