I bought the CSS editing upgrade from WordPress.com earlier. I’ve been tinkering around with the CSS for about 45 minutes now. I’m using Sandbox as my base theme. Thus far, I’m really impressed with the entire procedure. I was editing the CSS about 15 seconds after I’d clicked ‘Pay’ at PayPal. It was extremely fast, totally seamless actually.
A few initial thoughts on editing the CSS:
- The CSS text box needs to have the little pully down thingamabob that the Write box has. After being able to stretch the Write screen to amazing heights, I feel rather limited
- It seems to be deleting some CSS at times. Sometimes it just deletes a particular bit of it; other times it deletes an entire class. I’m not sure if I’m just doing something wrong (highly likely!), or if there are a few bugs to work out.
- I wish there was a ‘Save but don’t make it public just yet’ option. I like to tweak the CSS bit by bit, saving it as I go. However, that makes it to where the public at large (all 4 of you reading this
) can see the destruction as it progresses. I guess I could just use the Preview option diligently, or.. eh. Or I could just wish for a ‘Save but don’t make it public just yet’ option.
Yes, I know the blog is currently ugly. I’ve not gotten around to fixing it to where the header image appears. I’ll do that tomorrow (or rather, later today, since it is now 1:32AM).
Like I said. Watch out. Falling pixels. ![]()
Edit: Header image is up. Yay. “And then, there was much rejoicing.”
